Our projects are included in our farm stay agenda, if our guests are so inclined. Come on over and join in, if you’d like!  Here’s this year’s wish list of projects:

Well, the time has come to re-imagine the veggie garden.  We’re not just talking topping off the beds.  We’re going to COMPLETELY revamp and transform the garden.  Bring some gloves!

This year, we’ll be installing a bonafide “Tea Garden” specifically for the use of our guests.  We’ll plant things like spearmint, peppermint, rosemary, hyssop, lemon verbena, and many more “edibles”  to be cut and blended into your very own custom tea!  Of course, if you’d like to use them for cooking, please, be our guest!

Projects at the Farm

There is always a board that needs replacing or painting, a new configuration to accommodate changing critters, a cross fence to mend or build.  Pick up a hammer, a paint brush, or a screw driver and join us!

Barns & Facilities

While we do have gardens, the main crop for our farm is hay—and many hands make light work!  Square bales are put up summer and fall to feed our friendly inhabitants throughout the winter.

The Cottage’s perennial butterfly gardens will be
re-imagined right along with the veggie gardens.  New beds, new materials, many lovely additions.  And, a shade garden at the front of the yard along with a sitting area for guests.

Our workshops and excursions vary in price and are separate from our farm stays.  Please watch our facebook page for prices and dates.  Here is a partial list of this year’s workshops:

Workshops at the Farm

Bring some comfortable walking shoes, a bottle of water, and a good camera.  Weather appropriate attire—and bug spray when appropriate.  We’ll set out for a trek about the 150+ acres of the farm to capture all that our eyes show us.  Workshops scheduled seasonally.

Are you a lover of artisan pizza?    Hand-formed crusts layered with home crafted sauce, fresh ingredients, and artisanal cheeses?  Learn how to make these at home—and surprise the family with a “make your own pizza” night!
We promise—you won’t leave this workshop hungry—OR empty-handed...
